Custom Active Industrial Hearing Protection
HA Active Pro 10 is Audiovox’s custom active electronic hearing protection that actively shuts out harmful noise above 85 dB or amplifies sound when needed. Unlike passive hearing protection, active electronic hearing protection only attenuate sound when the noise level exceeds 85 dB, where the noise becomes harmful. This makes HA Active Pro 10 especially suitable if you are a factory manager or technician working in highly changeable noise environments or if you cannot use traditional over-ear hearing protection. HA Active Pro 10 are discreet and have a small cord that makes them easy to insert and remove.
The electronics in HA Active Pro 10 shut out harmful noise in less than 10 milliseconds, including impulse noise up to 164 dB. HA Active Pro 10 also has a wax filter system that protects the electronics from sweat and moisture.
HA Active Pro 10 can be adjusted to your hearing loss on 12 frequency levels like a traditional hearing aid, making HA Active Pro 10 particularly suitable for those living with a documented hearing loss. A user with hearing loss will not be able to use a traditional hearing protection, as the hearing loss will amplify the attenuation from the hearing protection and the user will not be able to hear the surroundings, alarms or the like.
HA Active Pro 10 is a certified industrial hearing protection according to EN352-2:2002, EU regulation 2016/425 and is CE approved.
Custom hearing protection
When working in a noisy environment, both the sound level and the amount of time spent in the noise have an impact on how much hearing is affected. The longer the time or the louder the noise, the greater the strain. In workplaces with noise levels above 80 dB, the employer must provide hearing protection. This also applies to noise below 80 dB if it is highly annoying, such as low-frequency noise from machinery. For noise above 85 dB, you are required to wear hearing protection.
Custom hearing protection is individually adapted to each user’s ear canals, ensuring a high level of comfort over a full working day compared to traditional over-ear hearing protection. You also won’t be bothered by the heat or pressure on the temple that comes with traditional over-ear hearing protection.
Custom hearing protection is safer to use if you wear glasses or a hat during the cold winter months, as the noise attenuation of a traditional over-the-ear hearing protection is reduced if it doesn’t fit snugly against the ear due to a glasses or hat getting in the way of the hearing protector.
Questions and answers:
What are custom active industrial hearing protection?
Audiovox’s custom active industrial hearing protection actively attenuates noise higher than 85 dB and is individually adapted to the employee’s ears. Only harmful sounds above 85 dB are actively attenuated whereas all other sounds below 85 dB are not attenuated.
Who can use custom active industrial hearing protection?
Audiovox’s custom active industrial hearing protection is especially suitable for employees such as school teachers, factory managers and technicians who work in very noisy environments and cannot use passive noise reduction or have hearing loss.
How do I get an impression taken for customactive industrial hearing protection?
Audiovox’s custom active industrial hearing protection is individually adapted to the individual user’s ears. We make an impression of each ear, after which the impression is 3D scanned and the hearing protection is 3D printed after the 3D scan. The prints are made by one of Audiovox’s specialists or a collaboration partner.
What is a non-linear noise filter
A nonlinear noise filter attenuates noise differently in different frequency bands. The filters provide the most attenuation of high-frequency sounds (eg angle grinders), less attenuation of medium-frequency sounds (eg machines) and the least attenuation of low-frequency sounds (eg speech). This enables the user to communicate while working in an environment with a high noise level.
