Custom MC hearing protection
SOWEI Free is Audiovox’s custom hearing protection for motorcycling or other motorsports. They are compact, very discreet and designed for use under a helmet. One problem with regular earplugs is that they are not designed for use under a helmet and can easily fall out or your ear canals become sore because the helmet pushes them too far into the ear.
SOWEI Free are made from a soft medical silicone and are very comfortable to wear. The noise filter in the hearing protection allows the ear to equalize pressure, meaning you can wear them all day without discomfort.
The hearing protection comes with a 26 dB noise filter that attenuates non-linearly, where high-frequency sounds like wind noise are attenuated the most, while mid-frequency and low-frequency sounds like speech and the engine are attenuated the least. This enables you to use the helmet’s intercom without any problems, while still being able to hear traffic, emergency vehicles and especially the engine.
This allows you to better concentrate on enjoying your rides and getting the full experience. Most importantly, it reduces the risk of a ringing in your ears when you get home from your drive or the race track.

Custom earplugs MC
Sound levels can quickly become harmful and cause tinnitus or hearing damage when riding a motorcycle. Although the engine of larger motorcycles emits some massive roars, it’s the wind around the rider and especially under the helmet that is the biggest source of noise. The noise level under the helmet can vary, not least depending on speed.
Foreign studies have shown that at a speed of 50 km per hour, the noise under the helmet was 88 dB. This means that if you ride for more than 4 hours, there is a risk of hearing damage. If you drive 100 km per hour, the helmet lets in 103 dB, which means that after 5 minutes of driving there is a risk of hearing damage. After only 1 minute, you are at risk of hearing damage if you drive at 150 km per hour, as the noise will be 110 dB under the helmet.
With a pair of practical custom earplugs for motorcycling or other motorsports, you can protect your hearing so you don’t risk hearing damage from a ride or a trip to the race track.
